“A system should never reduce the game to the point where it simply blames the players for failure because they did not physically overwhelm the opponent.” Bill Walsh
Offense Install schedule
This installation is done during two-a-day practices.
The same plays will be installed and reviewed for both practices.

Before installing the new day’s plays, the previous day’s plays
will have a review period to insure the players know their align
and assign for the previous day’s plays.

If they are not 100% certain then that day’s planned install
will be pushed back and the practice
will consist of redoing the previous day’s install.
The goal is perfect execution of the plays we install.
Not to have a lot of plays, just to have plays.
During install days,
the QB will spend 15 minutes after each practice being quizzed
on what each receiver has on each pass route.

We will do it orally, I just ask him, and also with index cards with the play drawn
on one side without the name on it and the name of the play on the other side.
I will show him the play, count to 5 and then take the card away.
He must be able to name the formation and the play.
I will do this with all the plays we have installed.
Why is this important?
Because for the install the BZW and XA are always staying together.
This allows the QB to memorize what the routes look like meshing together.
BEFORE you can mix up the receivers with different formation alignments like Avalanche he has to know the receiver assignments
to effectively execute a pass play with the new formation alignments.
Once he has them memorized you can put the receivers anywhere
you want and the QB can execute the plays.
